Alan Olive named CEO of Ashley Regional Medical Center

Vernal, UT (February 19, 2024) — Ashley Regional Medical Center, a Lifepoint Health hospital, announced that Alan Olive has been named its new chief executive officer (CEO), effective February 19. Olive comes to Ashley Regional from Universal Health Services located in Reno, Nevada.

"Alan brings with him a proven track record of transformative leadership, and we are confident in his ability to elevate our commitment to the health and wellness of the Vernal community. A veteran hospital executive, Olive has served in leadership positions at facilities across the nation for nearly three decades. While with Universal Health Services (UHS), Alan and his team, significantly improved operations and outcomes at Northern Nevada Medical Center, increased the footprint of UHS in the market by expanding outpatient services, medical group scope and adding a new tertiary hospital to create Northern Nevada Health System.

Olive earned his Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and a Master of Healthcare Administration from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. As a dedicated professional, he is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and actively contributes as a board member for the Nevada Hospital Association. In 2020, Olive assumed the role of board chairman for the American Heart Association, underscoring his steadfast dedication to promoting healthcare progress and advocacy.
